Our family is NEVER buying Tortillas from the store again!
Why do store-bought Tortillas contain upwards of 50 ingredients when we just made them using 5?
This quick and easy recipe is a great addition to any Taco Tuesday, it's perfect for using in Quesadillas, or roll-up Pinwheel appetizers.
Check it out and say, "Adios" to store-bought Tortillas for life!
Ingredients:
3 Cups Organic All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/3 Cup Melted Butter (we just used our own homemade butter - that recipe will be for another day)
1 Cup Hot Water
Instructions:
Blend together the Organic Flour, Salt, and Baking Powder in a metal bowl until well mixed.
Make a 'well' in the middle of the Flour mixture and pour in the Melted Butter and Hot Water.
Mix with a spoon until well blended and then turn out onto a floured surface.
Cut this dough into 16 sections.
Roll each dough ball into 7-10" Circles and place on a hot skillet on the stovetop.
After 30-45 seconds, the bottom of the Tortilla should be perfectly browned.
Flip your Tortilla and brown the other side for an additional 30-45 seconds.
Take off the skillet and serve immediately.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Enjoy!
